MY GOALS AND RESOLUTIONS FOR 2018

Hello Lovelies,

Okay, so New Year’s Resolutions can be considered one of the most useful and useless things of the 21st century, but this year I’m proving critics wrong and turning things back around to highlight the importance and need for that New Year’s Resolution you set three years ago thinking it would work, well now it will. It has come around once again to the New Year when we all ask ourselves if this year will be a new me? In the past I haven’t really done the whole ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ per say as I was at school but this year being my first year out of school I think it is finally time to sit down and think about resolutions, goals and other things that I want to achieve this year not only within my body but in other areas and aspects too. So, here are things that I am wanting to achieve in setting new year’s resolutions…

Eat Smaller Meals

Something I have had problems with in the past has been my eating and now, being out of school I feel I can more openly talk about eating disorders and how I have dealt with mine in the past. One thing that has always been a problem is either not eating for a week only having things that will make me lose weight or bingeing then purging which I know is a sensitive topic for some and still is for me today, but something I want to work really hard on. I want to work on portion sizes, eating smaller sized meals packed full of nutrients and protein, creating an all-round balanced diet, I am quite a health food fanatic but in 2018 this is something I want to focus on much more closely.

Fitness Track

I’ll be honest, I am the kind of girl who can luckily get away without working out, still eating healthily but not have anything happen to my body in gaining weight, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel like I want to get into shape or feel fit again and can occasionally feel bloated or not myself. I used to be a gym junkie who would spend hours at the gym and then come home and workout more, and I worked my body so tirelessly that I ended up hating the on the idea of even doing a sit up. However, with 2018 here I want to get back on track with my fitness, working out four times a week. I have set myself the goal to work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, I want to also eventually be able to add yoga into the mix of this. So, for 2018 my goal is to finally feel good in my skin through sweating it out on the workout I just finished. Taking More Me Time

When it comes to taking ‘me time’ I completely suck at the whole concept, I try and try but the only me time I can work on is having a lush bath while watching Netflix. This year, in 2018, I want to be able to sit down at night and take me time whether this is developing a night-time skincare routine which I do religiously, put time aside to read one of the thousands of books I have been meaning to over the last five years or simply light a candle and work on my blogging, without stressing out over the fact that I need to have something written by tomorrow and without doubting each word I write. In 2018, I want to focus on me in the view that I can get a little bit of ‘me time’ in each day to spoil myself with relaxation.

Goal Setting

Something that basically links to this entire post that I want to perfect this year is my goal setting, and by this, I mean I want to be able to set achievable goals whether they be by day, by week or by month, I want to allow myself the right amount of time to achieve my set goals and make sure they are realistic and can be achieved without putting an unnecessary amount of pressure on myself to do so. For 2018, I wish to be able to set goals that I know can be reached and ones that aren’t just, do a workout tomorrow or have lost a kilo by this date, I want them to be more to do with improving my talents and skills, such as read a book by this date, join a photography class, something to do with my blog, perfect a skincare routine this month, I want to be able to set goals that improve me as a person in ways I want to, not for others but for myself.

Blogging and Photography

Something I want to really advance this year is both my blogging and my photography, I want to be able to reach wider audiences, engage with my readers, take you all to new levels and heights of posts and show photography that is clean cut and looks aesthetically pleasing. I would love you to give me suggestions on what you want to read about, what photography you want to see, because as well as doing my own work I want to give my audience something they will love and want to read. I would love to be able to increase traffic to my blog and overall perfect my blogging style and photography.
